This book is told from the point of view of a girl who is autistic. Her older brother is the person who cared about her most in the world, but he was killed in a shooting at his school. Now she and her dad have to DEAL WITH IT as she would say. This book made me realize that you should always be nice to everyone and not think bad about others because they are different.

This novel in verse tells the story of Matt, a child rescued during the Vietnam War. Matt is adopted and struggles to remember the mother and brother he left behind. He struggles to fit in on the baseball team because another team mate blames him for his own brother’s death. The descriptions of what happened to Matt’s family are difficult to read. This books show how war can change a life, and how everyone needs others to lean on.

Samuel lives on the outskirts of New England as the Revolutionary War begins. His parents have been kidnapped and taken to the British stronghold in New York. Samuel travels there to rescue them. Paulsen gives the reader interesting facts about these times throughout this novel. What I remember most is not how strong Samuel himself is, but how he met good people who risked their own lives to help a boy.

This book is full of fantastical creatures and intricate machines. The story is very good too!

This is a terrific book with real characters that deals with an important topic and time period in a unique and important way.

Then he meets a baron and when its hunting season the boy steals the dear from the hunters and uses the skin for clothing and some for his tree home. He makes his own clothes and he carves out a tree trunk and uses it for his home.He also has a knife, a ball of wire and some flint and steel. I recommend this book this book because it teaches kids not to run away from home or maybe there parents might not come and look for them for you and you might starve.

Clarice Bean told him maybe your mom didn’t tell you because your dad doesn’t love you no more. Then Karl got mad at Clarice Bean because she said that and never talked to her again. Read the book to no more about Clarice Bean the trouble maker.
